Terms of Use
These terms explain how to use ChemSolver responsibly. The calculators are free educational tools for checking and learning general chemistry calculations.
Educational use
Use the calculators to learn the method, check your work, and spot arithmetic or setup mistakes.
ChemSolver provides chemistry calculators, worked examples, answer pages, and explanatory text for educational purposes. The site is useful for practice, homework checking, lesson preparation, and quick review of common general chemistry problem types such as balancing equations, calculating molar mass, converting grams to moles, and drawing supported Lewis structures.
Your school, instructor, exam rules, or academic integrity policy may limit when calculators can be used. You are responsible for following those rules. If an assignment requires handwritten work, exact rounding, or a specific solving method, use the site as a study aid rather than as a replacement for the required work.
No professional or safety advice
The site is not a substitute for a teacher, chemist, safety officer, medical professional, or lab procedure.
Do not rely on ChemSolver for laboratory safety decisions, chemical handling instructions, medical decisions, industrial process control, regulatory compliance, or emergency response. Chemistry calculations can support learning, but real-world chemical work requires verified procedures, safety data sheets, supervision, and professional judgment.
If a calculator output affects a grade, experiment, purchase, publication, or safety-sensitive decision, verify it with an authoritative source before acting on it.
Accuracy, rounding, and availability
We aim for reliable results, but chemistry context and rounding conventions can change the answer format.
The calculators are provided as-is. We work to make supported calculations accurate and transparent, but we cannot guarantee that every input, unusual formula, explanation, atomic-weight source, or rounded value will match every textbook or course. Some formulas, ions, resonance structures, or reaction formats may be outside what a tool currently supports.
Site pages may change as calculators are improved, examples are added, and explanations are corrected. We may update, pause, or remove a feature without notice if it is inaccurate, incomplete, or needs maintenance.
Acceptable use
Keep the site useful for chemistry learning and do not interfere with the service.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, copy at high volume, or interfere with the site.
- Do not use the calculators to submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or unrelated to chemistry problem solving.
- Do not misrepresent calculator output as professional certification, laboratory approval, or instructor endorsement.
- Do not remove attribution from copied explanatory material if you reuse a short excerpt with a link back to the original page.
